I was very pleased with the facilities at Pacific Tradewinds San Francisco - having stayed at hundreds of hostels over the past 37 years I know of where I speak - I will definitely stay at PCSF again - so glad I found it! |

As a Canadian physician, I noticed throughout my stay at Pacific Tradewinds an uncanny knack of caring for their patrons. While I was there they showed me around, they told me where to be careful in the city and they were incredibly social - on the last night we even went on an incredible social event at the local pubs. Honestly after this experience at a Hostel, I do not feel that I will ever be able to stay in a Hotel again. Absolutely amazing.

Wonderful people run the place, and it's in a great part of town. One of the best weekends I've had. |

It was my 1st ever hostel, (which the friendly staff took on board & welcomed me so well). There\'s such a friendly vibe, VERY social (unlike other hostels I went to later on) clean & comfortable. The Manager took us out to make sure we got there safely, there was a VERY in depth discussion about the city with a map and great deals about. I liked it so much that even though my flight to Sydney was from LA and I was already in LA, I flew over to SF just to spend my last 2 nights here! AWESOME. |

Really nice hostel if you're looking to meet people, staff are very friendly, nice, and helpful - i wouldn't come here if you're looking for a ton of privacy but if you just want a comfortable homey place to hang out while in sf, this is the place

It was within walking distance of many landmarks, as well as the cable car lines. The staff were really great in helping create plans for a day in terms of things to do, places to eat, and how to get around (where to rent a bike for a day). Overall it made my stay in SF much more enjoyable than if I had stayed in a hotel, and saved money as well.

I absolutely loved my stay at Pacific Tradewinds. It was a cute Hostel, but the best part was the staff. They are really open to questions, have great suggestions on where to go, share experiences, and are willing to help in any way. It is located right by China town and North Beach, a great place to take in the city and get some culture.

This was my first hostel experience on my own in a new city, and I can think of no other way to comment on this hostel except that you need to buy a ticket to san francisco and stay here. there were no shortcomings. friendly, interesting people, an immediate openness, comfortable beds with clean linen, great location to start exploring from. stay at this hostel.

Prima locatie om de stad te bezichtigen en te ontdekken. Mocht je je snel vervelen dan kunnen ze je hier prima vertellen waar je je kan vermaken op elk tijdstip van de dag.

This is a great hostel. Good place to meet people since the reception, kitchen and common room are more or less in the same room. Good wellsupplied kitchen, great location, bunk beds that don't shake and rattle, wi-fi and AMAZING staff!

I can't recommend this hostel enough. Staff are warm, friendly and ultra helpful. I arrived at 11:45pm on a sunday, I received a warm welcome, offered a glass of water, check in with minimal fuss, given lots of info about the city and also invited out for a quick drink. I've stayed at a lot of hostel in my 7 months of traveling and this is one of the nicest. Rooms were clean at all times, big lockers to put my stuff in, comfortable beds and just a general good vibe.
